Like many before me, I have the same unusually low volume problem with this product. Before anyone jumps to conclusions, I'm a self-proclaimed home theater fanatic. I fully appreciate that this receiver should be treated like any other unamplified source and should be connected to a powered speaker. Here is my setup. The B06 is connected to a SONOS Play 5 powered speaker that streams the iPhone X directly via Bluetooth. Simply replaced the B06 with a different brand streamer and no problem with normal volume settings on a similar competitor. With B06 I have to quadruple the normal volume setting to get anything usable. Like my car or wireless headset, my phone's Bluetooth source volume is set to maximum, so unfortunately it's not the easy fix we'd all come up with when reading about these issues. I am very disappointed in this product. Maybe I and some others received some anomalies. Reviews seem to be consistently high for this device. I want to reiterate those sentiments, but at this point I can't recommend it to anyone reading this review.
