The pot is much lighter than the stainless steel cooking set I use. The diameter is large enough to hold the 100g canister that fuels my pocket rocket, as well as a small lighter and tiny towel. However, the pot is not high enough to store the stove in the container. All in all, it does what it needs to do, which is boil the water. I don't cook in a pot so I don't know how to rate this in terms of actual cooking, but I would say if I tried to cook food in a pot it would probably be too small to cook. If someone wants to cook cooked food, I would advise going for a larger pot.
