Metallic taste that doesn't go away

I don't know what's wrong with this mug, but when I heat water in it I drink the rest of the water out of it - it seems metallic to me. I'm wondering if it's really titanium or an alloy (aluminum?) and don't think it should taste like that if it's really titanium. It also never changed color as I believe titanium should when heated, although I have a Toaks spoon that turned golden from just a small flame - the cup never changed and stayed the odd gray one Color of a metal gun.

Great little pot for outdoor activities

Great little pot for boiling water and cooking very small meals. It's the perfect size for a 110g petrol can, my hob, my mini bike and half a sponge. Pretty much my whole damn kitchen set. In the morning I like to boil water and put it in an oatmeal freezer bag, then brew coffee and use this kettle as a cup. quality material. It's noticeably thinner than the Ti than some of the other brands, but Toaks doesn't hide the fact and it definitely helps keep the weight down. Take care of your gear and

The thing is very cool. This is the perfect size for Nalgene.

This thing is pretty cool. This is the perfect size for a Nalgen or small gas canister. In combination with the BRS 3000 oven, this is a very simple combination. It's big enough to boil water for the freeze-dried camping food bags (mountain house, etc.) and other dehydrated meals without being too big. I used to have an MSR style stainless steel beaker that fitted around the Nalgen and a 1 liter simmer pot. I didn't use nearly half of the 1L and always ended up pouring it all into a mug. It…

This is the base of my ultra light kitchen set. .

This is the base of my ultra light kitchen set. It weighs 2.74 ounces with the cap on. It holds 2.75 cups of water. I mainly use it for freezing cooking, most of my meals use 1.5 cups of water leaving plenty of water for the coffee. It contains a 100 gram canister of isobutane. Paired with Atmos 25g Titanium Plate, Toaks Long Handled Titanium Spoon, Mini Lighter, Homemade Insulated Coffee Mug and Cozi Outdoor Gear Cooler Bag. My total weight of the cooking set is 15 ounces. I can boil 2.5 cups…

easy for hiking

The pot is much lighter than the stainless steel cooking set I use. The diameter is large enough to hold the 100g canister that fuels my pocket rocket, as well as a small lighter and tiny towel. However, the pot is not high enough to store the stove in the container. All in all, it does what it needs to do, which is boil the water. I don't cook in a pot so I don't know how to rate this in terms of actual cooking, but I would say if I tried to cook food in a pot it would probably be too small to

Good titanium pot/mug

Overall this is a very good titanium pot/mug. a little problem. In some of the reviews comparing these pans, I was concerned that they didn't include measurement indicators, but this one does include measurement levels. [.] For ultra-light adventures, I plan to replace or secure the cap with the silicone caps linked below. I can use it in place of a lid but at least it keeps the pot secure when traveling and it's also flexible enough to be used as a finger guard when the handles are hot…

Just buy it! fits camping cookware

This is my cooking system for long and short trips. I have a 110g can of fuel, a BRS stove, a mini lighter, a 12" x 12" lightweight towel and a 1" scraper that I press against this pan. A volume of 550 ml is not suitable because the lid does not close. This entire system weighs less than 5 ounces! It doesn't stain too much, and you can heat a cup of water for coffee and drink from it almost instantly without burning your lips. It's very easy to clean, has markings on cups and ml to be pressed…
