I had the same throttle lock on my 2001 Yamaha V-Star and just installed it on my 2004 Kawasaki Concours and it works fantastic! The scope of delivery includes adapters for 7/8" and 1" handlebars as well as other adapters for different grip sizes. My V-Star had custom FAT foam grips and didn't use a rubber insert/adapter, while my Concours had the standard skinny rubber grips and wanted the thickest insert. I need to emphasize a few things in order for your installation to go smoothly: 1- The ring that attaches to your grip MUST be perfectly vertical for a smooth release, otherwise the throttle may slowly return to the off position. It's not a big deal, it only takes a few minutes, but it's very important. 2- I found the best setting for the metal ring holding the throttle is that it barely stops the throttle from slipping. Any changes in stiffness and temperature/humidity can affect how quickly the throttle returns to its original position once disengaged. It also makes it very easy to adjust the throttle position without releasing the lock. 3- There is some thread sealant on the screws provided. I suggest you add some fresh sealant. I lost one of the bolts on my old V-Star due to vibration and it was difficult to find a suitable replacement locally.
