This was a great 3rd birthday present for my planet obsessed son. Most space themed toys are clearly only for older children, but the simplicity of this design makes it suitable for all ages. The planetary body has a soft plush outer layer, but the padding is dense and a little heavier than expected. for a cuddly toy (but certainly not too heavy for any child). This gives it a sense of solidity and substance, which is great for kids with sensory issues. Hands and feet become softer and softer. The Saturn rings are sewn on well and the thread hasn't come loose after weeks of hard play. The rings are soft and brim-like so they can be folded down or up over the eyes if the child chooses. It's really the details that make the fun. My son loves to "read" the word "Saturn" on his right foot and the fabric on the planet mimics the stripes and swirls of Saturn. In general, the product is of high quality, with solid construction and thoughtful design. We love it!
