The device is quite easy to set up and connect to the tank. I really wish the feed port was upside down and in the middle of the unit so I could just move the top of the tank glass back a bit instead of removing it entirely. Trying to choose the right feeding hole takes some practice at a time. Paper (which I assume applies to all rotary feeders like this one). My only criticism of this device is that the feeding slot is easy to move, resulting (in my case) in an extremely overcrowded tank. Luckily I noticed this before leaving so I was able to secure the slider with strong tape. I recommend setting it up a few days in advance to make sure you've set it up the way you want it before leaving it unattended. I think this pet feeder is 100% more reliable than using holiday pet pebbles and will pay for itself in no time, especially if you are away for a long time.
