Review on OMOTON Bluetooth Generation Rechargeable Ultra Slim Tablet Accessories by Demarco Vonk

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Mostly good for what it is, with a few REALLY big flaws

I wanted to bring an extra small portable Bluetooth keyboard with my iPad (8th gen). It had to be as wide as the iPad itself and thin. And cheap. This keyboard (which I'm using to write this review) ticks all of those boxes, so for the most part I'm happy with it. Especially the price. When you tap it, it feels a bit flimsy, but that's not a huge issue. However, there are two things that are pretty bad. First, the gap is strange. The contact point for this seems to be right in the middle. So if, like me, you tend to prefer one side of the spacebar with your thumb, you'll find that you have to step on it in order for it to register a keystroke. I think it's better than sticky keys (which I haven't experienced yet), but it's still annoying to type a few words and then realize they're really all together. The spacebar would have knocked down that 1/2 star for me. But there is an even bigger issue that is deducting at least 1 1/2 stars. lock key. This keyboard is small, so you can't rely solely on muscle memory to find the keys, especially the further away you are from the home row. There's this lock button, which is equivalent to pressing the power button on top of the iPad. Fall asleep immediately. And it's right above the backspace key, that's... I don't know how perfect your typing is, but I use it A LOT. It's extremely annoying that the iPad turns off by itself if I just want to delete a typo. However, I think it's a nice little keyboard and once you get used to these issues it will be a great iPad companion for a very long time. low price!
