Here are the test results guys - 02/24/19 So I did a gentle wash with no problems, yes there was some fluff left in the washing machine , as most reviews say, but I only use a WET washcloth and it wipes away EASILY. Suitable for tumble drying no problem - but the lint filter is filled again as expected, so simply clean it as usual. The carpet didn't get wet. wet as some bad reviews said - carpet intact, maybe they don't have a decent washer and dryer. (I wiped down the tile floor before the test to see the difference) Shoe test - I did two. One like As Seen On TV, I went out on a rainy day and got my boots wet and a little dirty, but nothing fun - took two steps on the carpet with both shoes (didn't "wipe my feet") and There was still plenty of wet and dirty paw prints on the paper for the printer which I put on the floor after the carpet - I took two steps on the paper. See the first two photos. Then the dog - I asked her to sit down when he came in. He moved his feet a few times and did a few spins on the carpet, then I made him walk across the paper and tiles - still lots of wet and dirty paw prints on the paper and tiles. A lot of. See the first two photos. Then I went outside and got a bit wet again and got my feet dirty, went in and wiped my feet like I always do. Maybe 5 or 6 good napkins back and forth and back and forth, unfortunately my footprints were left on the paper again. See 3rd picture. So in my opinion this rug does not perform as described, there is nothing magical about it and it does not disturb footprints throughout the house. I have put the rag back in the box and will be sending it back as I already have a rug that will not prevent footprints from following a house twice the size of this one. Hope that helps!
