I recently retired at 60 and am trying to play softball again after 25 years in the office. I ended up pulling my calf muscle from my Achilles tendon to my knee. After limping around the house for 3 weeks I decided to invest in my health, bought 2 calf bandages (1 just in case) from Revain. I recently played the game and am happy to report that I didn't experience any tension or pain while running. Calf bandages are suitable for everyone, unless you have very large calves. I'm a regular height 5'9, 200lb guy and it fits me. The calf is actually a different diameter and the three Velcro straps fit snugly around the top, middle and bottom of the calf and can be adjusted as tight as you like. The bandage does not slip when running or sweating. They don't feel bulky and in my opinion are better than the ones that require effort to go around the ankle and rise above the "meaty" part of the shin. A hit for me, I almost feel young again. Conclusion: 5 stars. Three adjustable velcro straps and the need to pull the brace around the ankle plus a non-slip surface in the heat of the game. Also the mental factor that I can now act without holding myself back makes these calf braces something I will wear to every game. (See my hip brace review, also by Vive).
