My kids smashed an old iPad Air - the screen was completely shattered - and I decided to fix it myself. I'm pretty tech savvy but had never replaced an iPad screen up to this point so I took the kids a day and tried to fix it myself. A few notes about this set: - The tools are not the best tools in the world. The suction cup is too small and weak to be useful. I ended up just breaking the glass to get the digitizer. Of course, this leaves splinters of glass on the LCD which will scratch the LCD (you can't clean them). The home button is also not of the highest quality. It's quite spongy and difficult to press. It seems to me that the glue on the screen is not very strong. The digitizer doesn't seem to fit perfectly and could come loose if my 3 year olds drop the iPad far enough away. Those complaints aside, this is a product of sufficient quality to repair an iPad Air that is over 5 years old and continue to put it to good use.
