Rainbow Loom Metal Hook
I've never had a plastic hook so can't compare them. I received my hookless kit and bought this metal hook to teach my 7 year old niece how to use the loom. I threaded this hook through the ring, stacked a bunch of tape and pulled it pretty tight and it held the pressure. It is convenient to hold and use. I haven't used the little loom that comes with it, I bought it mainly for the hook so I can't confirm how it works.
