USEFUL FIND -
great price, use it to fix my mom's 90+ waistband pants when the standard 1 inch waistband doesn't fit. You can push this through narrow canals with a large needle. Whilst it is very durable I have used 3 rows at the waist for stability, I recommend that you don't want to rely on 1 row. Also works well for "old" jogging pants etc where the elastic is missing, but it doesn't have a "pocket" to thread the waistband through. Get a needle with a very large eye and you can run a big run through the waistband on the inside and you're done.
