Yes, the metal is fine; the hook is lovely; the design is purely cosmetic. It works, but only with some effort; you'll have to learn to sew on an extra loop. Towels would be on the floor if this weren't the case. The kit's included sticker is useless for keeping the hook in place. After three hours of lying on the tile, it becomes somewhat cumbersome.

- There, I said it, and I'll update the rating right away! There is no way to maintain your grip without the towel's stitched loop. Each towel will need a loop sewn onto it now. This is very awkward!
