(I'm a registered nurse.) Slim. Almost impossible to hit even with the size Large. I ordered another brand, Physix, and am very happy with it. Now I have 4 pairs of Physix and they are at the bottom of the bin. I am female and wear size 10.5. The big ones should fit me. A few nails broke, they were the right size but weren't very hard at all and didn't seem to help my leg after it had healed after 2 surgeries I've never had compression stockings only TED stockings which isn't the same most. My advice would be to spend a little more. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
