The belt is made of good leather, but the workmanship is not durable. I've had the belt less than 30 days and have been wearing it to work for 7 and the finish is already visibly fading. This belt is made of beautiful leather that is poorly finished. The finish stays on the surface rather than penetrating it, meaning it was applied as a coating and not impregnated with the finish. This is a beautiful belt with an ephemeral finish. I'm disappointed that the belt doesn't need to be touched up after seven socks in the duty room. I would have returned it but it was a replacement for a 15 year old belt that just had the same problem and disappeared. I better finish the belt and move on.
