Small! Shampoo and Conditioner

Will come back and update after using them for a while. And I know the fluid ounces are listed and listed correctly. However, it's one thing to read ounces and another to see the bottles and hold them in your (now seemingly giant) hands. I don't know if that will be sustainable at $40 apiece, but we'll see. ***Update*** Good: I've been using it for a few days now. I used the shampoo the first day and the conditioner that day and 2 more days. I used to have a very dry scalp and dandruff which I treated first with Coal Tar Shampoo and then with Aussie Moist Shampoo. However, I used both shampoos every day because if I miss a day my head gets very dry, flaky and itchy. I think the shampoos pulled the nutrients and oil out of the scalp. I was attracted to squatch because the conditioner was daily and the shampoo was every 2-3 days, which I hoped would avoid stripping. Who doesn't love all natural ingredients!? So far, so good! No dandruff and excessive itching; Head and hair are not dry and not greasy. The conditioner leaves no film or oiliness at all, it washes off completely. I tried another tea tree oil treatment a while back (Paul Mitchell) and had the same problem as a Squatch reviewer here: My head got very dry, itchy and flaky (no blood like the reviewer's here, but maybe if I keep it up I would use it.) My wife also tried PM and got the same results and had no scalp problem before or after. Anyway, I was concerned that I might have a similar reaction to this, but not at all. Perhaps the key is infrequent shampooing - I wonder if the reviewer washed their shampoo and conditioner every day? The conditioner has a menthol effect on the scalp and leaves a tingling sensation on the skin like BenGay, IcyHot or Tiger Balm. For me that's a positive thing - my coal tar shampoo is used to it too and it seems clean, fresh to me. A friend of mine once used my coal tar shampoo and she didn't like it - she said "HARRRRDE!" (BURN!) So this may or may not be good for others. Coat: The conditioner has at least one strong herbal scent, which another reviewer called patchouli-like. It's definitely in that family, but patchouli oil is a bit sweeter while smelling almost like you could smell the herb itself (if that makes sense). It's not a bad smell, but if I had to pick 10 scents that would come out of my body throughout the day, this one wouldn't make the list. It is the smell of medicinal herbs/poultices. It's gradually disappearing, but when I run my hand through my hair and smell it at the end of the day, I can still smell it. (My wife says she likes the smell so there it is). Not very pleasant: just good value for money to be honest. The first 3 days of using this I had COVID cut (or uncut) hair with curls about 3-4 inches in length all the way down and the nickel sized amount of shampoo and conditioner just went away. there. However, on the night of the 3rd day I cut myself and it was about a half inch down the sides and back and the top had sagged maybe 2 inches at the longest points. I was hoping to use the nickel sized amount recommended this morning but unfortunately it still dissolved in the remaining hair. I had to use about the same amount of shampoo and conditioner as any other brand (just from smaller bottles). I think "nickel" is just a gimmick to get people to buy it because they think they need to use less than other brands and if they buy it and not use less then they are kind of weird Exception or wash their hair wrong because the manual says they don't need it (and nobody does!). Do not you believe! The shampoo also didn't lather any more than any other shampoo I've used (even less than some, like the Aussie). Don't expect these smaller, more expensive bottles to last as long as other brands' larger, cheaper bottles. These are all facts! You have to decide if the benefit is worth the cost. I give myself time for one bottle to make a decision. PS I wanted to add a 4th star because the product seems to work well and is of good quality, but the nickel trick seems like a cheap move - you definitely need to be using more of the product than advertised. And to be honest, I just don't get it. *** UPDATE *** Conditioner runs out *much* faster than shampoo! (although the bottle is larger). Since they aren't sold separately, you'll have to shell out $40 for conditioner bottles while your shampoo bottles pile up.
