Brighter than expected

Very bright. I normally calculate around 1.5 W/sq. foot, but that's too bright for this equation. I think you could get 1 W/sq. Feet or 40 square feet per fixture with these fixtures. I use a manufacturer recommended $22 Lutron LED specialty dimmer and they won't turn on with that specialty dimmer on the lowest setting. There's a delay when it's turned on at every level, from two seconds in very low light to barely noticeable in the brightest light. However, I like the ease of installation and the clean, simple look.

Pros

Reliable sealing. The unique waterproof plugs and sockets of these LEDs make them ideal for use in wet areas. The junction box of this slim LED ceiling light is IC certified and thermally protected, so the insulation can come into contact with it. This means you don't have to worry about our downlights overheating, which can lead to a fire on the roof or in the space above the joist.
