I like my door to stay ajar to let air in/out but my bedroom door in my new apartment doesn't stay ajar, it just closes unless I leave it half or fully open, what I didn't want to do. Also, the door would slam if I held it half open when the heat/AC was on. I was looking for door stoppers and came across these. I put one on top of my door so now when I close the door it stays open a bit. Even if the heating/air conditioning is switched on, the door does not slam! Didn't know they existed but I'm glad I found them! They are made of very strong and thick foam.
