The only Pi 4 case to look out for

I don't normally write reviews but I was so impressed with this case I thought it would fit. I bought one of these cases for testing purposes while building a Pi cluster for my home lab and wanted something that would look stylish in my server rack. This is the only case I've found that I think is close to perfect. (More on the "fast" part later). I was immediately surprised by the size and weight of this suitcase. It's a little smaller than I thought and a lot heavier. When you pick it up, you immediately feel the quality. The screws go in as smoothly as possible and the tolerances are very tight so everything fits exactly as it should. The labeled and color-coded GPIO pin extensions are incredibly useful and easily accessible thanks to the magnetic cover that doubles as an air intake for the fan. As for the installation, it couldn't have been smoother. It took about 2 minutes and was as easy as it gets. I spent more time finding my set of screwdrivers than putting everything together. The user manual is printed in high quality color with detailed instructions and in fluent English. I had some issues with the video output initially, but eventually I found that my micro-HDMI adapters didn't stick out far enough to make contact with the connector, and not a case failure. A quick snip of the rubber coating on the adapter by about 0.5mm with a razor blade cut off the problem. After booting up, I installed the power button/fan control software and it worked right away. The power button works exactly as the manual says, and it's more useful than you might think. One unexpected thing about the case that I liked is that the indicators on the Pi can shine through the acrylic on the front of the case for a quick status check. What I like best about this case is that all connections are routed to the back via an expansion board. This allows for an extremely clean setup and easy cable management, and makes it feel like a real desktop, similar to the Intel NUC. Now for the "almost perfect" part I mentioned earlier. I wish the Argon40 would take advantage of the ability to convert Micro HDMI to Full HDMI internally, eliminating the need for adapters. Even if it came at the expense of small size and cost, the convenience would be worth it. My other suggestion was to fix the USB-C power delivery issue that was bugging the Pi4 as it is powered via GPIO instead of the Pi's onboard USB-C port. As far as I can tell the problem still exists and doesn't work with e-marked USB-C power adapters, or at least not with the power adapter for my Lenovo X1 Carbon. Not a big deal considering official Raspberry Pi adapters are relatively cheap, but I feel like this is a missed opportunity as Type-C chargers become more common. There may be a technical reason for this that I don't know, so I'm not deducting a point. My only real complaint? At the time of writing this, 10/18/19, this case is only available from Revain as a bundle with power supply or with Pi 4, while I bought it separately with no accessories. I plan on buying a few more of these, but I already have a Pi and power supplies and would rather save a few bucks by just buying the case. TL; DR This case is amazing and you should definitely buy it. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that if you don't need to use a hat, this is the ONLY Pi 4 case you should consider. I know I'll take a few more.
