It is best to store non-food items.
There is no structural strength of the container. I put it in the microwave for 10 seconds and it melted so I didn't put any of these in the dishwasher, they scratch easily so only a soft cloth can be used to wash. You can't put anything too hot inside or they will deform, and the gasket under the lid is made of lightweight foam. Probably best for craft or gear storage rather than a kitchen or food pantry.
