Review on Protective Poetic Revolution Case With Fingerprint Compatibility For Google Pixel 6 Pro 5G: Full Body Rugged Design And Kickstand - Maroon Red by Robert Hodge

Sturdy, mostly protective, fingerprint dot interferes with screen functionality

I have had my case for most of a year. The case is durable and has kept my screen protected. However, the case does not protect cameras on either side of the phone, nor does it protect the sensors as they stay exposed. The biggest drawback is the fingerprint reader. It passably works if you don't mind multiple attempts to unlock the phone. However, the sticky portion that covers the reader stopped recognizing prints over time, even when I tried to reregister my print. The sticky substance over the reader collects dust, creating a semi-opaque circle on the screen. There is now an intermittent dead spot when I slide my finger across the screen in the location of the fingerprint reader.Rather than have a functionally useless, half-hearted attempt, I would trade the opaque dot for a cover that abandons the sticky dot and fingerprint reader. Unfortunately, it seems that all available cases which include a screen cover provide the same issue.
