Best for drying gums in oral care products

When I originally bought this I thought it would work wonders because it targets gingivitis which my dentist recently said I have. I bought the first bottle and it burned really badly when I used it and I was like ok so it's working. I bought two more bottles thinking they were medicine. However, after drinking the first bottle, I noticed that flossing left some cuts on my gums near the tooth. I'm not sure what it will do to your gums, but I won't be using it any further. Instead, I'm going back to Act's mouthwash. I sincerely believe it made my mouth worse not better and my husband said the same and refused to finish what we bought!
