absolutely love it. turns my iPad into a mini laptop

When my son gave us an iPad2 for Christmas this year, it was a big surprise. We're both in IT and he has several, but we've discussed this before and I just didn't think I'd use it. Of course he thought otherwise. I'm not a fan of touch keyboard layouts. I'm an old school typist and my average typing speed is 90 wpm. The touchscreen divides the layout into numbers in one section, most of the letters in another, and so on. That means I have to tap on sight, not touch. In any case. After playing with a new toy for a week, I started looking for a reliable keyboard. Despite the fact that there are reviews about this case that are not positive, I cannot find any complaints about this case. I've had it for four months now, carry it in my purse all the time, set it up and use it in the car when I'm touring around downtown at various hot spots. That's great. I have multiple laptops and didn't realize the difference would be that big. They are so light and easy to manipulate. Also, being able to turn on the iPad instantly is a real plus. I can stop and check my email, check my calendar, write a quick note to myself for less than 60 seconds. Yes, yes, I could do that with a smartphone, but I find reading much easier on an iPad when I get older. lol! Since it's wireless, you can put the iPad in the passenger seat, or on the dashboard, or some other place where it sits still and leave the keyboard on your lap, or hand it over to someone in the back seat for control, right? That's great. Finally, one of the negative reviews states that the iPad doesn't fit snugly in the case. Not so with mine. Getting out of it without standing on your side and without putting your fingers in the slot provided for this purpose is not easy. It's not difficult, but I mean it won't fall out on its own. And as for the "protection" of the iPad - that's right! These things are practically indestructible. My grandkids are both under 3 years old and they jump on the ones they had for 2 years. They literally dance on them while watching videos that turn them on. And the iPads still look and feel like new. No need for soft case/softcase/etc. Enjoy!
