Type of review

UPDATE: July 18, 2012 I've owned it for almost six months now. The benefits remain the same as in my original review, with two notable exceptions. The first exception is the ability to adequately protect the iPad. I'll go into more detail on that in the next paragraph. The second exception is that the "attractive aluminum case" isn't that attractive anymore. The edges where the device rests on the table have lost their aluminum color and now look like shiny scratches that are between 1 and 5…

absolutely love it. turns my iPad into a mini laptop

When my son gave us an iPad2 for Christmas this year, it was a big surprise. We're both in IT and he has several, but we've discussed this before and I just didn't think I'd use it. Of course he thought otherwise. I'm not a fan of touch keyboard layouts. I'm an old school typist and my average typing speed is 90 wpm. The touchscreen divides the layout into numbers in one section, most of the letters in another, and so on. That means I have to tap on sight, not touch. In any case. After playing…

Great option for a "real " keyboard

There are many options, and many of them work well. I chose this particular option because it has a beautiful simplicity to it. It fits my needs perfectly and gives me a great typing experience. I like this keyboard better than the Surface 2 Pro and Lenovo Tablet 2 and about as much as the Asus Transformer Prime (I like how the pieces fit together, if only in landscape mode). I use my iPad in the kitchen quite a bit and have stopped printing out all but the most popular recipes. So I download…

Brilliant! Goes well with the MoKo Slim-Fit Folio Stand

love it! This is better than I could ever hope for. I had several reservations about this. But they were all unfounded. Firstly, I have a Moki Slim Fit case that I love and wouldn't want to be without. Luckily, it goes well with this keyboard. You can simply undo the bottom latches and slide your iPad over the keyboard while STAYING in the MOKO case. The keyboard then sits very securely and is held in place by a protrusion on the front of the lid. It works great and offers even more security…

Solution without keyboard case

I bought both this keyboard case and a Kensington Keyfolio Pro 2 to use with my iPad 3/new iPad and its Photive case. Technically, this Logitech keyboard, like the Photive case, is made specifically for the iPad 2, but I've read other reviews that say it works great with the new iPad. First Impression: This is a keyboard, not a case. Perhaps because it was made for the iPad 2, the new iPad doesn't fit snugly and loosely on the aluminum corners; and with the Photive case attached (which…
