Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Your iPad 2 Experience with the Logitech Keyboard Case - Built-In Keyboard and Stand Combo by Frank Nguyen

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Another crappy Asian piece of crap on the junkyard is the Zagg iPad 2 case with integrated keyboard

UPDATE: July 18, 2012 I've owned it for almost six months now. The benefits remain the same as in my original review, with two notable exceptions. The first exception is the ability to adequately protect the iPad. I'll go into more detail on that in the next paragraph. The second exception is that the "attractive aluminum case" isn't that attractive anymore. The edges where the device rests on the table have lost their aluminum color and now look like shiny scratches that are between 1 and 5 inches long and up to 2.5 inches wide. The downsides remain the same, with the addition of poor durability. The rubber or foam strip around the inner rim that is used to hold the iPad securely has failed miserably, rendering the device useless as a protective case. I'm working with customer service and trying to get replacement tape and glue. You need a JPEG photo of the device that is less than 800 KB in size. My iPad device photo is larger than 1 MB. Aggravating! Anyway, the device is a convenient iPad stand and keyboard but a lousy protective case. I wouldn't buy this again at any price. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this unit refurbished for 1/3 the price new. The order was fulfilled by Revain through another supplier. I am very happy with the case, keyboard and stand. PROS: The tablet seems well protected. Attractive aluminum housing. Very long battery life. The keyboard has features that are not available on the on-screen keyboard. CONS: The device is disposable if the battery doesn't hold a charge! I don't like throwing money away. Because of this factor, I would not buy this unit at MSRP. The charging cable is not interchangeable with the iPad 2. A little problem to keep track of different cables. The small keyboard took some practice to minimize typos, but it's much faster than a stylus or finger taps on an onscreen keyboard.
