This is almost the perfect product for my needs. I use it to connect my iPhone to my car via wired CarPlay. My current machine has a USB-C port. My old car used the old standard. I tried using the adapter for a while but found it difficult to maintain a connection. This loads data and transfers it to the vehicle display. The only problem, and this may not bother everyone, is that the wire of the cable BEFORE winding is quite long on both sides. I simply ran the unwound cord through myself to make it smaller on both ends.
