Review on πŸ”Ά Cricut Premium Permanent Vinyl - 12” x 48” Gold Adhesive Decal Roll by Lori Aguirre

Revainrating 2 out of 5

This is bad to work with. I thought I would upgrade but this is a nightmare.

I used Oracal matte white vinyl before because it was cheaper. I have carved hundreds of feet of the same design over and over again. Everything went well but it was a bit difficult to sort out and stuck a lot on the back compared to another brand of vinyl plain (in black) (haven't tried their white yet). I decided to try real Cricut vinyl. Well, it should be better, right? NOT AT ALL! First, the title and description MUST say it's Glossy! It's SO shiny. I bought this quickly. I would have to read all the questions or customer reviews to find out. Second, this material adheres to the mat like a vacuum, but that's NOT what you want! I use a well used standard grip pad that I only had to clean with soap and water because it was so worn and dusty it wasn't sticky. It's still a little sticky after cleaning, but not nearly as much as when it was new. The Oracal vinyl stuck to it just enough to cut. The next day I put this new Cricut stuff in and it stuck to it like it was covered in super glue. It statically sticks to it so tightly that it creates HUGE 1" wide air bubbles EVERYWHERE and the only option is to squeeze them all out which makes the vinyl stick even tighter to the mat. Why is this a problem? You can't pull it off! It wants to stay there to the point where it crumples the vinyl and starts peeling the vinyl from the backing, damaging the cutout design and puckering the vinyl making a clean transfer impossible. As for cutting, I used "light pressure". " it didn't work very well with Oracal vinyl. Ok that's ok so switched to standard printing and it didn't help. It's not a problem with the cutting head because as I said the sheet is on another before cutting Brand was very good I haven't tried the hardest setup I'm sick of the rest of the problems I can't judge how well it fits your project I haven't even gotten that far I have hundreds of meters of experience with other brands and colors, so i'm not although i understand it's hard to believe with all the positive reviews i just gave up after trying to cut it twice i wasted 3ft and who knows if i can now can return right PROS: It would be unfair not to rate well as you would think I just hate it It looks good quality and unlike cheap reels when you unbox it it lays ch actually by itself, which is very good cold. At least the beginning of the video was, I can't say anything about the end. Cheaper name brand vinyl always curls which is a hassle and you have to fold it back to keep it on the mat once you get to the end of the roll. Where are all these rave reviews coming from? I do not understand.
