Works great. It was a bit difficult to install because the photos are not very good. But I often take my time, so I put it back bass the first time. The small square thermostatic device is next to where you connect the hose to the water source. Be careful not to overtighten the screws or they will puncture the shell. I did almost the same thing. Because I'm an idjit. I had no frozen water in this bowl at all. My dogs love that this bowl doesn't freeze. They think I'm a witch.
