Very light pet ladder

I have an older cat that shouldn't jump and another cat that just seems to be waiting to get into place with minimal jumps. Both cats always want to lie on the bed, especially at night. These pet ladders seemed like a great solution compared to bedside storage on the fly, and in fact, the cats quickly got used to using them. After assembly, the ladder is very light. You will never have trouble moving them around as needed. The assembly was a bit cumbersome, but not critical. But once you've assembled it, you really don't want to fold it unless you have to. The ladder consists of three parts: two knurled plastic parts and a zippered cover. The corrugated plastic pieces attach together with Velcro and you will need to ensure the lines are bent during initial setup as they are not fully bent out of the box. The zippered lid fits snugly, which is nice as it gives the feel of a solid piece. It is removable and can be washed if necessary. They seem pretty solid, but they won't hold much weight. The product is advertised as a pet up to 50lbs but what I mean is that the pet will pace, maybe jump and put its weight on the size of its paw. Worst of all, the corrugated plastic sheet will flex/squeeze where it shouldn't, but if it does then the strength in that area will be compromised. When I use weights (and watch cats) it seems like a 20 pound pet doesn't bother me at all. , personally I would find another type as this ladder needs to be rolled up/installed.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok
