Win Valve Pack!

Good. I've had this for about a year now, I originally bought this to replace one that had a dripping bottom that had messed up. Well this one did the same and I just never bothered to do it again - thought the faucet was just vacuumed, that's all. Until I recently had an idea. You can get something called "valve packing rope" or "PTFE rope" (Danco makes it), which is basically a thin Teflon tape rope. It's normally used to repair valves of course, which is why I had some. So I unscrewed the bottom of this thing, wrapped it a few inches around the inside, and screwed it back on. Ideal. I couldn't believe it, no more drops. We left the sprayer in the sink because it dripped down the hose and got under the sink. So maybe all you need is a valve seal - I think that would fix my old one! Edit after a few years: it still works great, no leaks. Added a picture of the Danco valve seal I used, available at hardware stores or online. Just unscrew the bottom of the atomizer and cut about 2 inches of rope, wrap it in the bottom of the atomizer and screw the bottom back on. Use more rope if necessary!
