Bought these shoes for my 2.5 year old and they are perfect for a 7 year old. She's 7 in Saucony, Gap Flats, vintage navy blue pumps so I'd say true to size. We just bought them and she has been wearing them during the day but I can't comment on how they hold up to play and wear down over time. My daughter has a normal width foot and they fit perfectly, but if your child has a wider foot they may have trouble putting on the elastic laces. They're also very light, so she jumps in pretty quickly.
