I have mixed feelings about these plates. They are fairly easy to clean, can be reheated in the microwave and look beautiful. what could be wrong The problem I found is in the design. Most plates are flat in the center and gradually curl outward. These plates have a recess in the middle and are flat and even on the outer ring of the plate. At first I liked the sauce in the middle until I tried making salmon curry on rice. The liquid collects well in the center if there isn't much of it. If you have too much liquid or some of it gets on the outer ring, it will drip off the plate. I have found that these plates can be very messy when cooking dishes with sauces or even just juices from cooked vegetables. To avoid this, you have to be careful not to have too much on the plate, or simply be careful to only use the plate for dry food. I would give these cymbals 4 stars (or even 5 considering the price) if not for the design. As they are, I find 3 stars generous. If it wasn't for the price I would give a 2.
