Contains alcohol in mouthwash

I have been told that alcohol is not allowed in mouthwash because it causes dry mouth which reduces the amount of saliva in the mouth which ultimately increases bad breath. Saliva's main job is to flush out potentially harmful bacteria, making it harder for them to adhere to your teeth and gums. So it's a failure as I've used up what I bought but will never buy again.
