Review on πŸ”Š GM Genuine Parts 25994310 Radio Speaker Amplifier: The Ultimate Silver Sound Upgrade by Jon Bishop

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No radio or turn signal sound

If your radio has lost sound but still has power, this could be the solution. It also controls turn signal and doorbell tones. Not sure what caused the failure, no sign of water under the dash where it is installed, but there was water in the tailgate wiring harness between the door and the body (2011 GMC Acadia SLT). I cut off the rubber boots at the bottom to keep the water from pooling again. I don't know where this water comes from and how to fix it. The first replacement of the amplifier lasted only 18 months, but the whole time it worked perfectly. I only gave 3 stars because most modern car amps have short circuit protection built in. If the problem was water, it would prevent the amp from failing. If the water wasn't the problem then I can only assume that another component failed. I highly recommend adding Square Trade or another protection plan to your purchase. The amplifier is installed under the dashboard on the driver's side next to the steering column. There are some good removal and installation videos on YouTube.
