Review on πŸ”§ Optimize your Raspberry Pi with the BASEQI Low Profile Micro SD Adapter by Jon Booth

Yes, size matters

In short, all of these micro SD adapters do the same thing. It doesn't matter what computer it's connected to. You could say it's for Pi, MAC, Asus or whatever, it's all about the size. BaseQi likes to list its dimensions in inches. For this purpose, a metric would be a more accurate measure. I actually bought a digital caliper to easily convert and understand actual measurements because I bought something that would fit my Lenovo Flex 11. Images of the Flex 11 to give you an idea of the fit. This version of the Pi didn't quite fit, but it was better than having something sticking out to catch onto something. For the price this was the best deal. Fancy aluminums were too expensive. The photos show a standard adapter, a cheap short one that works but still sticks out too far, and this version of the Pi. If you put in an SD card and left it semi-permanent (like I did) that's one thing, but if you just want to remove them, the tab really helps. What you see is nothing more than a square cut out of a sticker. Works perfectly. If you look closely, I've already scratched this adapter by sticking something in to pull it out. For the record, the BaseQi FBA_iSDA504ASV would probably be perfect for Flex 11. But for $25, I'm sticking with what I want. to have.
