Review on Rothco Military Belts Chrome Khaki by Dave Butler

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfying military style

Note. I wrote a review for this belt but apparently placed it with a different version of the product so I'm reproducing it here on the right. Belt arrived on time and as advertised. It's decent quality, slightly thinner but stiffer material than other straps I've had, but looks like it should hold up just fine. The buckle seems to be of decent quality and holds the belt in place. My only complaint and the reason I downgraded it 1 star is that there is no metal eyelet on the non-buckle end. Other similar belts have a metal tab (matching the buckle) at the end of the unbuckled belt to keep the material from fraying after cutting. Typically the tongue will overlap the end of the strap by about 1/4 inch and you can pry or pinch it to keep the end from fraying. You can see what I'm talking about by looking at similar Revain straps, in the photo of the end without the buckle. This product photo doesn't show this end so I didn't realize the clip wasn't there. It's okay - I'll probably put a dab of glue on the end to keep the seams taut, but I'd rather have a pull tab. Otherwise, the belt makes a good and worthy impression at this price.
