Review on 🍳 Anolon Advanced Nonstick Grill Pan/Griddle & Roaster - 11 Inch, Gray, Hard Anodized by David Herman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good size, light weight

The frypot and lid are square - the product dimensions include the handle. I like the size - two pieces can stand side by side in a standard oven. Anodized aluminum exterior, "Premium Three-Layer” PTFE coating interior (Teflon is a brand name for PTFE, but not branded). ) are slightly higher than juices/fats, but they are not very low. A general 'care and use' leaflet is included, from which it is unclear which provisions apply to this particular product. The box and product description say you can sear meat in the pan, but there's also a 350F limit for the pan, which I found contradictory. I contacted Anolon support and they told me the oven limit is 350F as silicone grips can warp at higher temperatures. I was told that you can roast on the stove. However, the pans are light (the two pieces together weigh 5lb 11oz) and I'm curious about the heat transfer. Also, frying in non-stick cookware can be problematic. I have cooked roasts in a shallow pan and vegetables in a deeper one in the oven. It cooked well and was easy enough to clean, although the meat pan took more effort to remove burnt spots than I expected from a brand new non-stick pan. I like stainless steel handles with silicone grips that wrap around the steel just enough to ensure you don't accidentally touch the metal. When two pots are connected, the handles are close enough to be easily held together.
