Review on Samsung DVD V9700 Tunerless Upconverting Player by Tom Lawson

Works great for my purposes, playing DVD and VHS on an old non-HD TV via standard RCA jacks. It's tunerless, so you can't record from the show. I was a bit concerned about the quality of these devices after reading the reviews - there are many bad reviews for ALL products of this type, although unsatisfied consumers are more likely to leave reviews. My last (Sylvania) lasted two years before her untimely death, so I'm assuming these things are mostly junk regardless of brand, so don't overpay for them. With such low expectations, I'm very happy with it. beautiful!
