I bought an extension cable for a Polycom conference camera. The camera is under the TV in the conference room, but the computer is on the conference table. This allowed me to hide all the cables by running CAT5 behind the TV under the table.

This worked perfectly for our church digital mixer. Now we have perfect sound in all our streams. Use this with a 175ft Cat 6 run with no problem.

If you're looking to boost your USB signal beyond standards, this is for you. I installed a long-term time-lapse platform and implemented the connection between camera and computer via USB over Ethernet. At first I used a passive adapter on both sides, and the connection was often lost, and the duration of the loss of communication between the camera and the computer was several hours. Ever since I installed the VTOP adapter, my system has been working great! Many Thanks. Highly recommended.

tried to send sound to the interface via USB with a 50ft cable. it does not work. Tried cable Cat 5, 6 and 7, none worked. Maybe it's ok for mouse and keyboard, but not for audio.

It can handle any current needed to connect a device to the far end. I had five of these units when I first bought them and they all worked great. For my second project I need two of these, the seller only allowed me to buy one of each so I had to find someone for the second one. Good product.

Although the listing says 1080P is not recommended, it worked at 20ft on CAT5. I would like to have a power supply on the PC side.
