I really wanted this product to work and to please. I was overjoyed when it arrived. The first one came, looked so beautiful! I have read all the instructions and followed the instructions. Pour filtered water into the first and bring to a boil. I waited for the appointed time and drained the water. There were serious tracks. I did it again and the marks appeared. I followed the clean instructions in the manual and nothing changed. Order a replacement. Then it got MUCH WORSE! The replacement arrives and there is glue on the heating element inside which should not be present given the product is tested to such a high level as advertised. So I tried cleaning it according to the instructions and the same discoloration appeared as the first mold, but the second kettle takes longer to boil for the first time than the first model that was sent to me in the afternoon so far. It smokes and the handle feels very hot so I have to turn it off by unplugging it. Water leaked inside through the seal, because before installing it on the base and turning it on after filling it with filtered water, I made sure there was no water anywhere except in the kettle. Once it cooled and I dumped the water, it started dripping from the power button and a streak of fog appeared over the lightbulbs inside the heating element. Not only did I risk the electrician, it could have been a terrible house fire! My model, another company, and unfortunately died after 7 years of 3x daily use and is no longer manufactured, I would start and walk around the house and do chores without worrying or fearing it would happen (fire or overheating ). ). I was so hoping that after days of researching brands and models on the internet this is the right one and that my search/research is complete and successful. Unfortunately this is not the case and I wasted my time, money and most importantly my safety. DO NOT BUY! Just take care of it and go back to the stove or throw big bucks in and just buy stainless steel (no filter in the unit).
