This is a replacement for the one I stepped on and broke the end of the nozzle. It's the same quality as the original hose which lasted several years and would have lasted even longer if I hadn't stepped on it. The only thing I don't like about this hose is the bend in the hard part of the hose. It clogs easily if you're sucking on something too big or tight, so you'll need to be careful about what you're picking up. After years of trying to unclog the occasional clog, I have found that the flexible part of the hose can be separated from the fixed part and the clog is much easier to remove than trying to do so without separating the two parts . I don't know why it took me years to discover this! In general, the hose is of very good quality.
