This product is one of those great things that really improve life and save money. It's not perfect - the smell is very chemical - although it claims to be free of harsh chemicals - not sure what to call "harsh". and it can actually reduce some things a bit if you're not careful what you use it with. But basically, once you get the hang of it, you can save hundreds of dollars simply by using your household dryer for half an hour instead of going to the dry cleaners to clean specific things. The principle is that the steam cleans your clothes in the dryer while they are in a sealed bag, in which you also throw a dry cleaning cloth (soaked with non-harsh chemicals). It's really good for sweaters, but I clean my best sweaters (cashmere or fine wool) because steam isn't good for them (I learned it the hard way). Bed pillows clean (read label, maybe no feathers). You can put a pillow and cleaning cloth in each bag (I currently have two bags - the bags only come with the starter kit) and put two bags in the dryer that will balance each other out when dropped. Wrinkles are simply clean. Very good for decorative quilts, especially those that can't be washed because of tangled fringes or are made of weird acrylic that can't be washed. I wouldn't use anything with glitter or rhinestones glued on because the steam can melt the glue. I've tried silk with varying degrees of success; There was some shrinkage but luckily the items were still a bit large. Adding a retouching spray and pencil to the kit is a waste of time and the price goes up for no good reason. Now I have maybe half a dozen unused sets from buying this product over and over again. Leaves spread a million times faster than spray and pen. I want the company to only sell replacement dryer sheets. Revain's price can be slightly higher or lower than supermarket or Target, depending on the different formats of what's included in the set and the transactions made. but it's usually my turn, so I sometimes order it from Revain for convenience.
