Good first things first: It's a really nice little box. In the end it served my needs well. I bought it for my shop. We have a standard industrial first aid kit, but I wanted to put something next to it to store all the little things that wouldn't fit in the boxed kit - extra band-aids, a large bottle of Bactin, aspirin, antacid, allergy pills, etc .This closet was exactly what we needed and at the right price. BUT: 1) Mine arrived damaged as many other reviewers have mentioned. One corner/side was quite dented. Since it's going to the store I just knocked it off with a hammer but if it was for the house it would come back. 2) It arrived locked, with keys included. That would be a problem, but the lock turns right in its hole with a slight torque from a flathead screwdriver. I don't need a lock so I removed the latch to avoid problems in the future. However, the conclusion here is that the lock is practically useless for security purposes. 3) The cabinet in the photo is upside down. Due to the shape of the shelf, the item has a defined top and bottom. In order for the shelf to be used, it must be installed with the hinge on the LEFT side. Not a problem for me, but maybe for some.
