We have a puppy that weighs about 10 pounds. He is full of energy most of the time. including all night. We try to go potty and he made it impossible. I tried putting him in a kennel for the night and he screams like an exotic bird so no one can sleep. Tried to tie him up outside for a while because he still uses the toilet in the house no matter how long you stay outside with him. But he just yelled outside which might disturb the neighbors in the evenings so although we hate the shock we decided to buy collars at the pet store. The rest of the reviews are correct in that they don't show how to use the collar or the testing tool. There is no second set of pens, but there is a tool for changing the battery. The collar does him good, he still tends to whine every now and then, but it doesn't last long and doesn't get close to him. just as intense as ever. We are completely satisfied with this collar, although it may not work on larger dogs (I suppose that's why there are so many negative reviews). It took a while to adjust it to a size that would fit him, but it was worth it.
