Most mics of this size are good or bad as many are designed for phones and have different rings around the plug. It works well and the audio is definitely better than the in-camera mic (not the best, but better). I don't know how this thing made it, but it survived the washer and dryer! I thought he was definitely dead but the mic and audio are still fine.
