Defective Parts - The printer becomes useless until a replacement arrives.

I'll start by saying I've had the Ender-3 for 2 years now. Printer with minimal settings. I don't consider myself an expert either. At best, I'm a little above the professional level. I received my printer yesterday. Upon reassembling I noticed I had a broken part and was missing a set screw. I pushed the build out of excitement. I set the printer up and tightened the straps. I plugged it in and there was a loud pop and sparks. After I unplugged the printer and checked all the connections, everything looked fine. I plugged it back in, leveled the bed and set the Z offset. It's time to print. I uploaded a sample print and clicked on "Print". The bed started to heat up and after about 15 seconds the alarm went off. "Insufficient power supply to the sensor." After troubleshooting I narrowed the problem down to the hot-end sensor. I watched a few tutorials on youtube and saw what the problem could be. When I looked into the power supply where the hotend connector is, I noticed that 1 wire was not even connected. After 5 minutes, after tearing it apart and connecting the wire, I started printing my prints. Pros - Good price for a Core XY printer. Easy to assemble, just read the 2 steps ahead and all the little notes. Fairly easy to level: This doesn't have automatic bed leveling. It shows you a 12 point grid and you need to set it to zero.) The first print had no bed sticking issues and seems to print great. The support responded to my request for spare parts within 24 hours. Cons - Defective parts out of the box. Some holes don't match, which makes some tasks even more tedious. No automatic leveling. printer and its capabilities. Update: A day later and now the orientation sensor is not working. Everything is connected correctly, but it no longer recognizes where the nozzle is. There is a broken wire in the sensor and I cannot solder it. This renders the printer useless as it will not print without a working sensor acting as a Zstop.
