I bought these because I thought the exact tip would be perfect for the detail used in adult coloring books. Yes, a thin tip is ideal, but it kind of bleeds through and is generally not good for area coloring. My paper actually got wet and that led to this wet roll paper thing going on. I'm so happy I tried them for the first time in my coloring book. So these are journaling pens or just sketching/detailing pens. Very smooth, even and bright colors. I like the concept of the container they come in. To be honest, pens are not that easy to open and remove or insert, but they are 10 times better than pens in plastic sleeves. Overall it's not my first choice but I'm glad I bought it. .
