Review on 🎧 Maxell 190303 In-Ear Headphones With Microphone by Christie Cox

GREAT seller! - (DigitalShopper): The item shipped *does* not exactly match the photo shown on Revain (as of April 2017); Instead, the earbuds are "slightly tilted" at around a 60-degree angle (more or less), while the Revain photo shows them "perpendicular" at a 90-degree angle (if that makes sense). the same problem - the photo did not match the item delivered - when trying to buy the same model on a non-Revain website about a year ago; and this product surprisingly sounded like absolute *garbage!* upon receipt. - *big disappointment. The sound quality wasn't even clear enough to make basic *voice* calls (on a smartphone) because the sound quality sounded so cheap and "tinny". And I ordered a pack of *three*; so it wasn't just a random *accident*. However, while these headphones (from DigitalShopper) *looked* exactly like those horrible quality pairs (a year ago), Maxell - (probably after a ton of negative feedback just complaining I hope and suspect) - they must have made better ones again , because this pair was *as* good - if not better - than the original pair I bought at Walmart about 2 years ago. The timeline is a bit confusing so far, here's an overview of my history with this model (in case it helps). I've actually bought this model *three times* from three different sources: (1) LOCAL WALMART, ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO: Bought an (original) *white* pair of these headphones (which shape is *similar* to Revane's photo) ) . While it's not professional sound quality, I was definitely happy with what you get for the cheap price. 2) ONLINE PHOTO STORE: Wanting *more* of these, I later looked online (on the website of an unnamed camera/audio store). , not Revain) and bought a set of three *grey* pairs. I was immediately surprised to see the difference: the headphones were "skewed" or "canted" and did NOT look like the "upright" (original) pair I bought at Walmart; and it wasn't just the visual difference: the sound quality was absolutely *terrible!*.3) LAST CHANCE; BUY ON AMAZON: I decided to give it another try (given the cheap price) and bought this *black* pair from a Revain seller here. When they *didn't* arrive as pictured on Revain I immediately assumed they would be the same batch as the low quality gray pairs and asked the seller for a refund without bothering to return the package to open, provided. The seller returned my money *immediately*; but when I opened the package (which I should have done first, I'll admit) I found (to my surprise) that this pair was *as* good (if not *better*) than the original *white* pair! Moral of the story: you *might* get an awful pair (they were made once!); but most likely *newer* ones no longer have that "tinny" quality issue that once hung around there. If you come across reviews stating that Maxell's quality has dropped; that they *used* to be good, but are now of very poor quality; then you *may* get the same thing, or maybe you'll get something *better*. Don't expect the item to be exactly like Revain's photo, though: the headphones could very well be 'tilted' at an angle of around 60 degrees, rather than perpendicular (90 degree angles). But that doesn't guarantee that they sound bad - just not like in the photo. My original white pair looked just like the photo; sounded *great* (for the money); second purchase of three gray pairs was "weird" and sounded absolutely *TERRIBLE*; but the third purchase (here) was *also* "angled" but sounded ok.
