Review on 🐱 Dono Pet Cat Scratch Pad- Multifunction Cat Scratcher Cardboard with Spring Feather Teaser: Interactive Kitty Playtime with Turntable Scratching Pad & Catnip Included by Nikki May

Good idea but best for kittens or small cats.

We have two adult grandparents who usually love their cardboard notebooks. I liked the idea of a notebook with toys and catnip, so I decided to try this option. Unfortunately, the notebook itself is too short and small to accommodate our strong adult cats. They both like to sit right on their notepad when using it, and they don't have room for it with this particular claw. It's a good idea to include toys (balloons, feathers, and spring bells) and catnip, but the rug design really is best for kittens or small cats. The big boys and girls probably won't use it much (ours won't). You can smack the bell balls into the mat for a few minutes (ours did), but the scratching portion won't be big enough for them to dig in properly. Another thing I don't like is the spring attached to the spring/bells. Our grandmother tried to bite him but stopped almost immediately. I could tell it was because the metal against her teeth wasn't a comfortable feeling for her. In general I would say that if you have a kitten or small cat in the house it might be ok. But if you have older cats, increase the size of the scratching post to a larger size and they will be happier.

Pros
  • Decent productivity
Cons
  • Minor problems
