Review on Bohin 81980 Automatic Needle Threader by Dawn Fischer

Of all the needle threaders I've used, this is the best. It has two sides for different size needles, which is an advantage when trying to thread smaller needles. The cutter has limitations. The needle threader only works with oval eye needles. If your needle eye is round, this will not work. Another thing is that you need patience. Follow the instructions carefully. You need to lower the needle into the slot. If you put it in a slot, you may or may not be lucky. Then you need to place the thread in the indicated way. After you press the button and a loop of thread appears on the opposite side of the thread slot, you need to pull the needle towards the pusher and not from the pusher button. Here, too, you may be lucky and pull the thread through the eyelet correctly. You may also notice that the loop disappears and the needle does not thread. Despite these limitations, I find this Bohin needle threader to thread my needle better than Clover and other brands. Sometimes it takes me several attempts to thread the needle. When my eyes get tired or it's late at night, I can't thread a needle at all without this needle threader. I give it to my sewing friends as the needle threader seems overpriced and they don't see the advantage over other needle threaders. When people understand how to use it, they get excited. My last needle threader lasted about 7 years. It broke during the night (the lever that feeds the thread through the eye of the needle must have come loose and broke the plastic base that was holding it. This also released the spring that pushes the thread through the eye). I ordered a new one as soon as it broke down as I can't live without it.
